Part 5 – Paralell Project – Reflections

allel Project Justice4Holloway is ongoing and will undoubtedly respond in as yet unplanned ways in response to what is a continually evolving situation that is fraught with challenges and disappointments intertwined with new doors of opportunity and research and developments in the saga of trying to get something new and visionary for women in London and beyond.

Part 5 – Parallel Project – Her Bed – Ceramic sculpture

This sculpture is not only a homage to Tracey Emin’s ‘My Bed’, but to all the women that benefited from the ceramics class and the tutors that facilitated them.

Part 5 – Parallel Project – ‘Her Bed’ – Installation

Her Bed is directly inspired by and a homage to Tracey Emin’s ‘My Bed’ and seeks to have the viewer debate the circumstance and mental wellbeing of an incarcerated woman, many of whom have not committed violent offences, are sentenced to short sentences, have to contend with the separation from their family or children and the fallout from a custodial sentence, but are often victims themselves.
